Tiramisu recipe – original recipe from the Moccamaster family
What is a better dessert than a good tiramisu on Christmas eve? With many variations out there, we thought it was the best idea to keep it classic. In this post we are sharing a recipe that is long kept by a Moccamaster family member, but is too good not to share. So enjoy and you can thank us later ;-).
What you need for a big dish:
500 gr mascarpon
180 ml espresso
4 egg yolk
2 egg white
100 gr fine sugar
2cl amaretto
200 gr lady fingers
Cacao powder

Step 1.
Start by brewing your coffee with your Moccamaster. Pour water till stripe two, but use 2 or 3 scoops of coffee instead of one because we need the coffee to be extra strong. Let it cool down for a bit (put it in the refrigerator to speed up the process). Meanwhile, make one layer of lady fingers in the over dish. Then, when the coffee is cooled, sprinkle the coffee over ladyfingers. Not too much, but also not too little.
Step 2.
Then, mix the egg yolk, fine sugar and amaretto together until it is a nice mixture.
Step 3.
Scoop the mascarpone through the mixture from step 2. Do this by hand so it will become thick and fluffy.
Step 4.
Now, whip the egg whites and again, scoop through the mixture to make it a final.
Step 5.
Get your mixture and put it all over the lady fingers until the oven dish is full. Put it for 2-4 hours in the refrigerator and top it off with the cacao powder when serving it.
Enjoy!
Now it is time to enjoy one of the most yummy and classic desserts of all time. On behalf og the whole Moccamaster team, we wish you a Merry Christmas!
