Traditional Dutch, handmade quality
Technivorm is the manufacturer of Moccamaster and has been based in nostalgic Amerongen, which lies in the heart of the Netherlands, since its foundation in 1964. Since 1968, Technivorm has specialised in making coffee grinders and filter coffee makers. These are still made by hand in the Technivorm factory today.
Only high-quality and recyclable materials are used for the production of both coffee grinders and coffee makers. In addition, all plastic parts are BPA-, BPF- and phthalate-free and therefore not harmful to you as a user or nature. All appliances are modularly built so that, if properly maintained, they are easily repairable. Thus, we strive to make the lifespan of every Moccamaster machine as long as possible.
5-year warranty
Every Moccamaster coffee machine and coffee grinder for domestic use has a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. For professional use and with our professional machines, this is 2 years. A small gesture to show that we trust our products 100% and stand behind the quality of our products. Should there still be something with your Moccamaster after the warranty expires, it is, as mentioned earlier, often still repairable. Also, you can always order the original replacement parts, such as glass jugs, overflow pipes and lids, separately. So no stress if you drop your glass jug. An order in our webshop or from one of our dealers will get you a new one in no time!
What is very important to guarantee the long life of your Moccamaster is that you maintain your coffee machine properly. Lime and dirt can build up in the machine and cause blockages, resulting in a deteriorated taste or even a broken machine. In the worst case, poor maintenance will also render your machine beyond repair. So make sure you clean and descale your machine after every pack of filter paper a 100 times. Green coffee brewing
An additional advantage is that you have no waste after brewing your cup of coffee. Unlike coffee cups and pads, filter coffee is a green way of making coffee. This is because the used coffee filter is completely biodegradable and can be disposed of with the organic waste. In addition, the coffee residue is also good nutrition for your plants. It contains natural nutrients important for plant growth such as potassium, calcium and magnesium, substances that are also found in commercial fertilisers. So add the coffee grounds to your compost or mix it with your kitchen herbs' potting soil. That way, you will be extra green!
